The Power and Bombers had disappointing seasons, but Port's was worse. Due to being Grand Finalists in 2007 they plummeted to 13th on the ladder. The Power did show promising signs in the last 2 weeks of the season, Belting Melbourne and The Kangaroos by 70+ points. Essendon got Injured Brent Prismall in the Trade Period but he will not be playing.
